Butterflies
The Butterflies Class Program is aimed at children from 1 – 2 years old. It has been designed to target all areas of your child’s development including physical, cognitive, language, social, and practical life skills. Each week for example we have planned activities following monthly themes to keep your child engaged and motivated. Our weekly plans are shared with parents at the beginning of each month. They include daily overviews of adult initiated focused activities and learning intentions.
Integrated enrichment activities are included; music, sensory and cooking classes as well as sand play. Once a term, we will complete art projects inspired by famous artists from around the world.
At this age, we understand the importance of flexibility, so we plan our nap and toileting times to fit each child’s needs and home routine. We believe that feeding and mealtimes are not only social experiences but opportunities to develop new skills.
Beetles
Welcome to Beetles Class aimed at children between 2 – 3 years old. Here, we offer a class program that caters to all areas of your child’s development. Beyond Classes
At Great Minds ECC, we take pride in our specialized staff who are dedicated to monitoring students’ progress and ensuring their success. Our highly trained specialists work closely with teachers and parents. This allows them to provide additional support to students requiring extra assistance in the classroom. Our specialists not only provide training to teachers, but they also create an environment that challenges and meets the needs of each child. With the implementation of an Individual Educational Program (IEP), our specialists ensure that each child receives the necessary support in the classroom and at home. They work diligently and collaboratively with teachers to observe students during group activities and provide one-to-one assistance.
Workshops and Training
Workshops take place once per term and are provided free of charge to parents and caregivers. They are conducted by doctors, therapists, psychologists, nurses and educators. So far topics that have been covered include:
- Montessori system-program and implementation
- First Aid and Family Safeguarding
- How to deal with tantrums.
- How to raise healthy children
- Bilingualism
- Developmental milestones
- Dealing with language delay
The purpose of these workshops are to educate guardians on daily living situations associated with their little ones. Parents go through phases of stress, guilt and anxiety about the way they raise their children. There are questions that need answers and feelings that need to be addressed. Our aim is to provide support to our families, answer their questions and comfort their feelings. In addition we create a positive environment where they have the chance to liaise with other parents and share their views.

Integrated Enrichment Activities
We build on this basic Montessori academic curriculum by enriching our students’ school experiences with the addition of Cooking and Sensorial, Music, Art and Physical Activities. Our students also have the opportunity to begin to learn Arabic by attending Arabic classes twice per week.
